Double Sided PCB
With the exception of the fact that they feature two-sided traces with such a top and bottom layer, double-sided PCBs are quite comparable to single-sided PCBs. The traces can cross over each other because of the ability of these boards to attach conductive copper & components on both sides of a circuit board. A type of PCB called a double-sided PCB, commonly referred to as a two-layer PCBs, has conductive copper sheets on both sides of the board. Simply described, a double-sided PCB has top and bottom layers that are made up of two-sided traces or paths.
Double-sided PCBs work
Contrary to single-sided PCBs, the conducting copper and components can be mounted on both sides of the board instead of just one. Due to the ability to alternate between both the top and bottom layers via vias, these double-sided boards enable closer routing traces.
- Because circuits with one side of the board can be interconnected to circuits on the opposite side of the board with the aid of holes punched in the board, it is very helpful in many electronic applications.

- These boards allow for the connection of components via two practical technologies: through-hole technology & surface mount technology. Both technologies have advantages and disadvantages depending on your demands and requirements.
